This gracious farmhouse on sprawling grounds provides comfortable, friendly accommodations and exceptional dining to visitors as did the original inn in days of yesteryear. Built in 1834, the Inn provided lodging for stage and steamship passengers. Your hosts, Peter and Annelise Krinsky, provide gracious and friendly innkeeping and superb, contemporary dining in a spectacular waterfront setting.
The Inn is strategically located to take advantage of all this beautiful area has to offer. The Blue Hill/Deer Isle Peninsula, Acadia National Park, the Schoodic Peninsula and points further Downeast. Visit the many artists' galleries and antique shops in Blue Hill and Deer Isle. Or hike on Isle au Haut, one of the beautiful islands that dot the coast, by hopping the mail boat from Stonington just 40 minutes away. We're close enough to Acadia National Park for easy access yet far enough from the crowds to relax at night" Spend a day just relaxing on our premises.

All soups, sauces, dressings, desserts, and entrees are homemade and are based on the freshest ingredients. The menu changes frequently to reflect availability of fresh produce and seafood.

Directions to The Surry InnFrom the south: Follow Route 1 north. 7 miles north of Bucksport, turn right onto Route 176 and follow it to its end. Turn left onto Route 172 (Surry Road) and you'll find the inn on your right in 2.5 miles. From the north: Follow Route 1 south. From Ellsworth
veer left onto Route 172. Follow it approximately 5 miles to find the
inn on your left. We are located 30 miles from Bangor International Airport
and only 13 miles from the Bar Harbor Airport in Trenton.
